To Allow For Drainage Installation Work
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces night work associated with the construction of the new I-93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.
Weather permitting, work to install drainage across Interstate 93 northbound and southbound will take place on the nights of Tuesday, September 3 through Friday, September 13, 2013. This work will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9:00 pm until 6:00 am on I-93 northbound, and 8:00 pm until 5:00 am on I-93 southbound.
Construction operations will require traffic on Interstate 93 northbound and southbound to be reduced to one lane utilizing a lane closure. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. of Windham, New Hampshire.
