3 Day Detour Via Exit 12 to Allow for Bridge Demolition
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a daytime detour is in effect for northbound traffic on Interstate 93 seeking to go north on Interstate 89 in Bow-Concord. This detour is necessary to allow for demolition work on the old I-93 bridge over I-89.
From Monday, August 12 through Wednesday, August 14, motorists heading northbound on I-93 seeking to go north on I-89 will be directed via NH 3A to Exit 12, to I-93 southbound to the I-89 northbound on-ramp.
This project involves the replacement of the Interstate 93 northbound and southbound bridges over Interstate 89 in Bow-Concord. It includes the rehabilitation and resurfacing of approximately 1.1 miles of I-93 in the vicinity of the I-93 bridges, replacing the median guardrail with concrete barrier, installing overhead sign structures, replacing existing drainage, and work on the I-93 southbound off ramp to I-89 northbound.
Audley Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $14.7 million project, which has a final completion date of June 2015.
