Rehabilitation of I-93 Bridges Over Winnipesaukee River
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting has been scheduled to discuss the rehabilitation and deck replacement of the Red Listed bridges that carry Interstate 93 northbound and southbound over the Winnipesaukee River and Railroad between the Towns of Northfield and Tilton. The project also includes the installation of scour remediation countermeasures at Piers 1 and 2 for both bridges.
This public meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 6, 2013. The doors open at 6:30 pm with the formal presentation starting at 7:00 pm at the Tilton Town Hall, 2nd Floor Meeting Room, 257 Main Street in Tilton, New Hampshire.
The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project and to solicit public input in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
