|Steel Beam Setting on New I-93 Bridge in Bow-Concord
Southound Lane Closures for At Least Four Nights
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the planned setting of steel beams on the new southbound Interstate 93 bridge over I-89 in Bow-Concord is scheduled to begin tonight (4/29/13).
This structural steel placement work is expected to take at least four nights to complete. Between the hours of 9:00 pm and 6:00 am, traffic on I-93 southbound will be restricted to one lane. Traffic will be stopped for brief closures (less than 15 minutes) on both I-93 southbound and I-89 using State Police rolling road blocks when the beams are lifted off a truck and secured into place.
Electronic message boards will alert motorists to the night work.
This work is part of the replacement of the Interstate 93 northbound and southbound bridges over Interstate 89 and minor repairs to the collector distributor road bridge. Audley Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $14.7 million project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2015.
