Concrete Barrier Installation Near Exit 2 Interchange
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces planned night work associated with the construction of the new I-93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.
Weather permitting, the installation of portable concrete barrier and paving work along Interstate 93 northbound will take place on the nights of Wednesday April 10, through Friday, April 19, 2013. This work will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9:00 pm to 6:00 am. It's anticipated this work will take eight nights to complete, although additional nights may be required.
Construction operations will require traffic on Interstate 93 northbound to be reduced to one lane. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
This work is part of the $41 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc. from Windham, New Hampshire.
