Concrete Barrier Installation Near Existing Exit 2 Interchange
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces planned night work associated with the construction of the new I-93 Exit 2 Interchange in Salem.
Weather permitting, the installation of portable concrete barrier along Interstate 93 southbound will take place on the nights of Monday, April 8, through Friday, April 12, 2013. This work will take place during non-commuter hours, from approximately 8:00 pm until 5:00 am. It's anticipated this work will take five nights to complete, although additional days may be required.
Construction operations will require traffic on Interstate 93 southbound to be reduced to one lane. Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.
This work is part of the I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 2. The general contractor for this work is George R. Cairns & Sons, Inc., of Windham, New Hampshire.
