| Bridge Repairs Over the Mascoma River in Canaan
Will Require Single Lane Traffic for 3 Months The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces repair work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 9, on the bridge that carries Canaan Street over the Mascoma River in Canaan, New Hampshire. The bridge is located near the intersection of Canaan Street with Switch Road and River Road. This bridge deck replacement project is expected to take three months to complete, and will require one-way alternating traffic controlled by stop and yield signs. The roadway width of the bridge will be limited to 12 feet during this period. This state "Red List" bridge was built in 1936. A NHDOT bridge maintenance crew will be performing the deck replacement work. |
