| Bridge Steel Installation Over NH 111 Near Exit 3 in Windham
Night Work Will Close NH 111 and will not Impact I-93 Traffic The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces bridge construction work over NH Route 111 in Windham will take place during nighttime hours on December 26 and 27, 2012. This work will involve the installation of structural steel for the I-93 southbound bridge over Route 111. It will require closing NH 111 to traffic for safety reasons. To minimize the impact to motorists, the work is being done at night. Route 111 at the I-93 southbound overpass will be closed to through traffic during nighttime hours on Wednesday, December 26 and Thursday, December 27, weather permitting. The road closures will be in place between the hours of 9:00 pm. and 5:00 am each night. Motorists can expect to be re-routed during this time period. Detour signing will be in place to direct people around the area using I-93 northbound and southbound. Uniformed officers will be on hand to assist with traffic control. Traffic on Interstate 93 will not be impacted. Additional closures are expected in the following weeks to complete the work. This project is part of the construction of the new I-93 roadway in the vicinity of Exit 3. E.D. Swett of Concord, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $11.5 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2013. |
