| Bridge Steel Installation Over NH 111A Near Exit 3 In Windham
Night Work Will Close 111A But Should Not Impact I-93 Traffic The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces bridge construction work along NH Route 111A in Windham will take place during nighttime hours during the week of October 1, 2012. This work involves the delivery and installation of structural steel for the I-93 southbound bridge over Route 111A. This will require closing NH 111A to traffic for safety reasons. To minimize the impact to the general public the work is being done at night. Route 111A at the I-93 southbound overpass will be closed to through traffic during the night on Monday, October 1st and Tuesday, October 2nd. The road closure will be in place between the hours of 6:00 pm. and 2:00 am. Motorists can expect to be re-routed during this time period. Detour signing will be in place to direct drivers around the area using Route 111 and Lowell Road. Uniformed officers will assist with traffic control. Traffic on Interstate 93 will not be impacted. This project is part of the construction of the new I-93 roadway in the vicinity of Exit 3. E.D. Swett Inc. of Concord, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $11.5 million project, which is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2013. |
