Main Street Drainage Repairs In Newport Central St. To The Main St. Bridge Over The Sugar River The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces drainage repairs are scheduled to begin on Monday, September 17, 2012 in Newport on the east side of Main Street (NH Routes 10/11/103) from Central Street south to the bridge carrying Main Street over the Sugar River. This work is required because of a failed catch basin and carrying pipe. It is anticipated the work will require up to five days, weather permitting. Two-way traffic will be maintained by shifting the traffic. Possible delays should be expected. The NHDOT’s Highway Maintenance District 2, along with Morrill Construction Company, Inc., of Pembroke, New Hampshire will be performing the work for this estimated $15,500 project.
