| Night Road Closure On NH Route 38 (Lowell Rd) In Salem
Demolition Of Existing I-93 Southbound Bridge The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the planned demolition of the I-93 southbound bridge over NH Route 38 (Lowell Road). This work will require Lowell Road in Salem to be closed to through traffic between Stiles Road and South Policy Street during the following nights:
Motorists using Lowell Road during these hours will be detoured along Stiles Road, Pelham Road, and South Policy Street. Additional one-way alternating traffic on this stretch of roadway is expected from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm each night with some delays. This area will remain accessible to local residents and businesses. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to slow, direct, and assist motorists around the work zone. This work is part of the $30.5 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 1. The general contractor is Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, Massachusetts. |
