| Box Culvert Installation On NH Route 135 In Littleton
Will Require Road Closure For Up To 12 Days The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the planned installation of a concrete box culvert on NH Route 135 in Littleton. This project includes installing a 12-foot wide by 6-foot high concrete box culvert where NH Route 135 crosses Carpenter Brook, approximately 4/10’s of a mile south of the Littleton/Dalton Town Line. Due to the location and site conditions, it will be necessary to close the road to through traffic in order to install the culvert. Beginning Monday, September 17, the closure will be in effect for up to 12 consecutive days and begin tentatively on September 17, 2012. Local traffic will be able to access residences and businesses from each side of the closure. Electronic signs will alert motorists to the road closure and a signed detour. J.P. Sicard, Inc., of Barton, Vermont, is the contractor for the $238,000 project. |
