I-93 Exit 1 Southbound On-Ramp In Salem New Ramp Opening Scheduled For August 3 The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned opening of the new Interstate 93 Exit 1 southbound on-ramp in Salem is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 3, 2012. Opening this ramp will allow the construction of the Exit 1 southbound off- ramp and mainline lanes thru the Exit 1 area to continue. The hours for this work are anticipated to be from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm, and are weather dependent. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone. This work is part of the $30.5 million I-93 Mainline widening and reconstruction project in vicinity of Exit 1. The general contractor is Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, Massachusetts.
