| Night Road Closure on NH Route 38 in Salem
Structural Steel Erection for the New I-93 Northbound Bridge The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night construction work beginning Sunday, July 15 and continuing for three nights through Tuesday, July 17 between the hours of 9:00 pm and 5:00 am each night. This night work involves the erection of structural steel for the reconstruction of the I-93 northbound bridge over NH Route 38. Lowell Road (NH 38) will be closed to through traffic between Stiles Road and South Policy Street in Salem during these hours. Motorists using Lowell Road during these hours will be detoured along Stiles Road, Pelham Road and South Policy Street. The work area will remain accessible to residents and businesses. Electronic message signs will be used to inform the traveling public of upcoming work. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to slow, direct and assist motorists around the work zone. This work is part of the $30.5 million I-93 reconstruction and widening project in the vicinity of Exit 1. The general contractor is Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, Massachusetts. |
