|Night Bridge Steel Erection at Bow-Concord Project
New Interestate 93 Southbound Bridge over Interstate 89
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces night bridge construction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 9 on Interstate 93 in Bow-Concord and continue for four nights through Thursday, July 12.
This night work will involve the erection of structural steel for the new I-93 southbound bridge over I-89. Weather permitting, the work will take place from 8:00 pm to 5:00 am each night. There will be periodic closures of I-89 southbound when the bridge steel is being put in place. These closures should be limited to 15 minutes each time.
The I-89 northbound on-ramp for I-93 northbound traffic will be closed on July 11 and 12. Motorists will be detoured to Exit 12 and I-93 southbound. Also, the ramp from NH Route 3A to I-89 northbound will be closed on July 11 and 12. Motorists will also be detoured to Exit 12 and I-93 southbound to access I-89 northbound.
This work is part of the replacement of the Interstate 93 northbound and southbound bridges over Interstate 89 and minor repairs to the collector distributor road bridge. Audley Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $14.7 million project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2015.
