|Night Work at Hooksett Open Road Tolling Project
Drainage Crossings Will Require Lane Closures
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces nighttime construction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 11 in the vicinity of the Open Road Tolling (ORT) project on Interstate 93 (Everett Turnpike) in Hooksett.
This night drainage installation work, which will extend from about one mile north to one mile south of the Hooksett Toll Plaza, will require lane closures on both I-93 northbound and southbound. Signs will alert motorists to the lane closures.
These nighttime work hours will be necessary during various weeks until August.
The project improvements include the toll plaza modifications to accommodate ORT infrastructure and collection equipment, rehabilitation of the existing toll plaza, highway widening and interchange improvements, and the rehabilitation of three bridges over Cross Road, Hackett Hill Road and ramps.
R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $22.9 million project, which has a final completion date of October 2013.
