The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces night lane closures will begin Sunday, April 29, 2012 on a section of Interstate 293 in Bedford and Manchester.

The project involves the replacement of 1.3-miles of media box beam guardrail with concrete barrier, from the NH Route 101 interchange in Bedford to just south of Exit 4 in Manchester. Initial work will involve the setting of temporary concrete barrier to separate motorists from the work zone.

This project will include both daytime and nighttime work, with lane closure only allowed between the hours of 8:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Northeast Earth Mechanics, Inc. of Pittsfield, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $1.58 million project, which has a completion date of September 2012.
