| NH 101 Project In Milford - Amherst To Resume
4.5 Mile Segment Includes Bridge Rehabilitation The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces construction work is scheduled to resume on Monday, March 12, 2012 on a pavement and bridge rehabilitation project on NH Route 101 in Milford-Amherst. This project involves 4.5 miles of NH 101, from one-half mile east of the bridge over NH Route 13 to just east of the NH Route 122/Baboosic Lake Road interchange. A total of seven bridges are being rehabilitated within this project area. The four still in need of work are on NH 101 in Amherst. Reduced speed limits to 45 MPH will be in place at the affected bridges. Occasional lane closures and nighttime paving work will begin in April. Additional work will include drainage and guardrail improvements. Brox Industries, Inc. of Dracut, Massachusetts is the general contractor for the $6 million project. George Cairns and Sons, Inc. of Windham, New Hampshire is the contractor for the bridge rehabilitation work. The project completion is scheduled for the fall of 2012. |
