| Federal Aviation Funding Bill Signed Into Law
12 New Hampshire Airports To Benefit The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 is good news for New Hampshire airports. President Obama signed the measure (HR 658) into law earlier this week. This $63 billion, multi-year FAA reauthorization will provide $3.35 billion annually nationwide for airport infrastructure. Twelve New Hampshire airports will benefit from this four-year reauthorization, which will provide the necessary funding to support safety and capacity improvements. In addition, the law will continue to provide Essential Air Service (EAS) to the Lebanon Airport, providing additional travel options. “This is critical legislation to support aviation and to provide job opportunities for New Hampshire citizens,” says New Hampshire Department of Transportation Commissioner Chris Clement, who also thanked New Hampshire’s Congressional Delegation for supporting the FAA reauthorization. |
