| Night Work Continues At Exit 5 In Londonderry
NH 28 Traffic Delays With Intermittent Road Closures The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces night work associated with the construction of the four new Exit 5 Interstate 93 bridges in Londonderry. Weather permitting; demolition operations on the out-of-service I-93 southbound bridge over NH Route 28 will take place on the night of Tuesday, February 14, 2012. This work will consist of the removal of the existing steel girders. It will occur during non-commuter hours, from approximately 9:00 pm to 3:00 am. Minor traffic delays can be expected. This bridge work will require traffic on Route 28 northbound and southbound to be intermittently detoured utilizing Interstate 93. It will also require traffic exiting I-93 northbound to Route 28 northbound, and I-93 southbound to Route 28 southbound at Exit 5, to reverse direction at the next I-93 exit. This work is part of the construction of four new I-93 Exit 5 bridges, NH Route 28 reconstruction, and I-93 reconstruction in the Exit 5 area. Severino Trucking. Co., Inc. of Candia, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $37 million project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2014. |
