The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces construction work is underway on the replacement of the Interstate 93 northbound and southbound bridges over Interstate 89 in Bow-Concord.

The new bridges will be built in three phases to maintain two lanes of traffic in each direction on I-93. Lane closures on I-93 and I-89 will be mostly limited to nighttime and off-peak hours.

The project also includes the rehabilitation and resurfacing of approximately 1.1 miles of I-93 in the vicinity of the I-93 bridges, replacing the median guardrail with concrete barrier, installing overhead sign structures, replacing existing drainage, and work on the I-93 southbound off ramp to I-89 northbound.

Audley Construction of Bow, New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $14.7 million project, which has a final completion date of June 2015.
