Two Nights Of Scheduled Bridge Steel Erection Work
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned closure of the NH Route 12A underpass at Exit 20 of Interstate 89 in West Lebanon for two nights of bridge structural steel erection work. The Route 12A underpass will be closed on Wednesday, November 30 and Thursday, December 1, from 11:00 pm to 5:00 am each night.
During the shutdown periods, Route 12A through traffic will be redirected via I-89 to the nearest exits to detour around the work. Lane closures on Route 12A will begin after 8:00 pm each night. A lane closure on I-89 NB will begin after 9:00 pm. Emergency vehicles will be able to pass at all times.
This project includes the replacement of the I-89 bridges over NH Route 12A, the addition of two lanes (from 5 to 7) on NH 12A at the Exit 20 interchange, and the construction of bridges connecting the Upper Valley shopping plaza with the Kmart shopping plaza.
R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $20.3 million project, which has a final completion date of October 2012.
