| I-93 Southbound Lane Shift Onto New Roadway At Exit 5 In Londonderry On November 17
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the planned opening of a new section of southbound lanes on Interstate 93 at Exit 5 in Londonderry. Traffic will be shifted onto the two-mile section of recently completed highway beginning at a point just north of the new Exit 5 off-ramp entrance. This new traffic pattern will allow for construction of the remaining width of the two new I-93 southbound bridges and removes two red-list bridges from service. This interstate work will require traffic on I-93 southbound to be delayed via rolling roadblocks to accommodate the traffic re-configuration. These rolling roadblocks will take place during non-commuter hours from approximately 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 17. Minor traffic delays can be expected. This work is part of the construction of four new I-93 Exit 5 bridges, NH Route 28 reconstruction, and I-93 reconstruction in the Exit 5 area. Severino Trucking. Co., Inc. of Candia, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $37 million project, which is scheduled for completion in June 2014. |
