Night Drainage Work Will Close Northbound On- Ramp
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the Interstate 93 Exit 1 northbound on-ramp in Salem will be closed Wednesday night, November 9, and possibly Thursday night, November 10, 2011. This will allow for the installation of drainage pipe across the ramp. The hours for this closure will be from 9:00 pm to 7:00 am.
Motorists needing to use this ramp will either have to proceed to Exit 2 to get on I-93 northbound, or take I-93 southbound and reverse direction at Exit 47 in Massachusetts.
Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone.
This work is part of the $30.5 million I-93 Mainline Widening and Reconstruction project in vicinity of Exit 1. The general contractor is Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, Massachusetts.
