Public Hearings Set For NH's Ten Year Transportation Program
Opportunity To Comment On 2012-2022 NHDOT Draft Plan

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) and the Governor's Advisory Commission on Intermodal Transportation (GACIT) announce a total of 27 public hearings have been scheduled statewide on the NHDOT's recommended update of the State's Ten-Year Transportation Program (2013-2022). GACIT is comprised of New Hampshire's five Executive Councilors and the NHDOT Commissioner.

These public hearings, running from September 12 to October 27, 2011, are an opportunity for citizens to comment on the draft plan, which is the result of several months of work by communities, regional planning agencies and the NHDOT. Those not able to attend the meetings can submit written testimony within 10 days of the completion of the Public Hearings, but no later than November 10, 2011. Written comments should be addressed to:

Copies of any documents related to the Ten-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (2013-2022) will be available for review on the NHDOT Web site prior to the first Public Hearing: www.nh.gov/dot/org/projectdevelopment/planning/typ/index.htm or by contacting the NHDOT’s Bureau of Planning & Community Assistance at 603-271-3344.

Any individuals needing assistance or auxiliary communication equipment due to sensory impairment or other disability, should contact Sharon Allaire, (603) 271-3344, NHDOT, P.O. Box 483, Concord, N.H. 03302-0483 - TDD access: Relay N.H. 1-800-735-2964. Notification of the need for assistance must be made no later than seveb days before the meeting.
