| Night And Daytime Lane Closures On I-93 Northbound Between The State Line And Exit 1 In Salem
Ledge Removal And Drainage Pipe Installation The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces lane closures on Interstate 93 northbound between the Massachusetts state line and Exit 1 ramps in Salem are scheduled to begin on Sunday, August 28 at 3:00 pm and extend until 12:00 noon on Monday, August 29. These lane closures are to allow for ledge removal and drainage pipe installation. This work is weather dependent and will be postponed if poor weather conditions occur. Motorists using I-93 northbound in the area of Exit 1 in Salem during these hours can expect minor traffic delays. Motorists using I-93 northbound and southbound in the area of Exit 1 in Salem between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm can expect a short-term rolling roadblock for blasting related to this work that may cause minor traffic delays. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone. This work is part of the $30.5 million I-93 widening and reconstruction project in the vicinity of Exit 1. The general contractor is Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, Massachusetts. |
