|Reconstruction Of NH 12A In Lebanon To Begin
Part Of The I-89 Exit 20 Widening Project
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces preliminary work associated with the reconstruction of a section of NH Route 12A in Lebanon is scheduled to get underway on Monday, July 25, 2011.
Initial work on NH 12A will involve water line relocation, drainage, and temporary traffic signal work from Airport Road to the Mascoma River Bridge.
Due to the daily heavy traffic volumes on NH 12A, most of the work will be done at night, Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am each night.
This project includes the replacement of the I-89 bridges over NH 12A, the addition of two lanes (from 5 to 7) on NH 12A at the Exit 20 interchange, and the construction of bridges connecting the Upper Valley shopping plaza with the Kmart shopping plaza.
R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $20.3 million project, which has a final completion date of October 2012.
