Five Day Closing For Cross Pipe Replacement The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces NH Route 10 in Lyme will be closed to through traffic from Monday, July 18 at 7:00 am until 4:00 pm on Friday, July 22. This closure is necessary to allow for the replacement of a 17-foot deep drainage cross pipe north of Lyme Village. The pipe crossing is approximately 0.8 miles north of Whipple Road, or 1.3 miles south of the Lyme/Orford town line. This work schedule is weather-dependant, but once it has started the work will continue until it is completed. Route 10 traffic traveling north will be detoured to Thetford, Vermont at East Thetford Road in Lyme. Route 10 traffic traveling south will be detoured to Fairlee, Vermont at NH Route 25A in Orford. Motorists can use either Interstate 91 or US Route 5 to travel between Thetford and Fairlee. The Department of Transportation's Highway Maintenance District 2 will be overseeing the work by its local maintenance crew. |
