E-Zpass "On-The-Go" Available On July 4th Weekend
Convenient Transponder Can Be Used Immediately For Tolls

There are no lines and no waiting with E-ZPass "On-the-Go." The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is adding to the benefits of electronic tolling with the introduction of a transponder that can be used immediately anywhere E-ZPass is accepted.

"E-ZPass On-the-Go is a ready-to-use, convenient option as a gift, for vacationers, or for anyone looking to travel as far south as Virginia or west to Indiana," says Bob Christensen, Toll Manager at the NHDOT's Turnpikes Bureau. "Those driving passenger vehicles on the New Hampshire Turnpikes System won't have to wait to take advantage of a 30 percent discount. The goal of this effort is to provide another E-ZPass customer service feature."

The pre-programmed E-ZPass transponders with $9.05 in pre-loaded tolls can be purchased, using cash only, for $30. The balance of $20.95 is the cost of the transponder. Mounting strips are included in the packaging. Those purchasing E-ZPass on the go will have three days to open up an E-ZPass account, or add the transponder to an existing account from the first use.

The NH Department of Transportation will be promoting the sale of E-ZPass "On-the-Go" over the Fourth of July Weekend at the following locations:

  • Friday, July 1
Hooksett Rest Area northbound from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm
Seabrook Rest Area northbound from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
