|Night Ramp Closure At I-89 Exit 20 Project In Lebanon
Southbound On-Ramp To Close For Five Nights For Reconstruction
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the planned closure of the southbound on-ramp at Exit 20 of Interstate 89 in Lebanon to allow for the ramp's reconstruction will take place on five consecutive nights, beginning Sunday, May 8, 2011.
The night ramp closure will be from 8:00 pm until 6:00 am each night through the night of Wednesday, May 11. When the ramp is closed, motorists seeking to head south at Exit 20 will be redirected to travel one mile north on I-89 to the Vermont I-91 interchange and reverse direction. Highway message boards will be used to alert motorists of the ramp closure.
The Exit 20 southbound on-ramp will be reopened for traffic each day.
This project includes the replacement of the I-89 bridges over NH Route 12A, the addition of two lanes (from 5 to 7) on NH 12A at the Exit 20 interchange, and the construction of bridges connecting the Upper Valley shopping plaza with the Kmart shopping plaza. R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $20.3 million project, which has a final completion date of October 2012.
