| National Scenic Byway Awards Announced
Over $267,000 Going To Three NH Projects The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration announce awards under the National Scenic Byways Program. The following projects were awarded funding in New Hampshire:
All three of these projects were submitted by regional planning agencies that work closely with the NHDOT and represent the Seacoast, Upper Valley, and the north country regions. Projects receive 80% of the funding for a project with the sponsor providing the 20% match requirement. The Scenic Byway program has been in New Hampshire since 1991 and contributes funding to projects that support our local economy through tourism, economic development and planning. Funding is through the Federal Highway Administration and the program is administered by the NHDOT. New Hampshire is one of 46 states in the Scenic Byway Program and has completed 81 projects to date. |
