| Brookdale Road Bridge Over I-93 In Salem Reduced To One Lane Alternating Traffic Pattern
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the Brookdale Road Bridge in Salem will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic during the day to allow for the demolition of the existing sidewalk. This work is in preparation for the long-term lane shift and closure to allow for the construction of the new Brookdale Road Bridge. The daytime one lane alternating traffic is scheduled to take place beginning Monday, March 28 and will continue for approximately one week. On April 4 the long-term one lane alternating traffic and signalization of the bridge will begin and continue until this fall. The one lane alternating traffic will be between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm each day during the week of March 28. Motorists using the Brookdale Road Bridge over I-93 near Exit 2 in Salem during these hours can expect minor traffic delays. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zone. This work is part of the $4.3 million I-93 Brookdale Road Bridge replacement project. The general contractor is R.S. Audley, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire. |
