| Repairs Begin On Honeymoon Covered Bridge In Jackson
Structural Damage Resulting From Car Striking Bridge On 2/19 The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces bridge repair work is underway on the Honeymoon Bridge in Jackson. The 121-foot long covered bridge, which spans the Ellis River, is located at the intersection of NH Route 16 and NH 16A on Village Street in Jackson Village. The 135-year old wooden structure sustained significant damage when a car struck it on February 19. It is currently closed to all traffic and a signed detour is in place. This repair work by a NHDOT Bridge Maintenance crew is expected to take up to two weeks to complete. |
