| Non-Metropolitan Public Consultation Information Available
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the release of its most recent publication of non-metropolitan public consultation processes for review and comment. Federal regulations found under 23 CFR 450.210(b) state that "…The State shall provide for non-metropolitan local official participation in the development of the long-range statewide transportation plan and the STIP. The State shall have a documented process for consulting with non-metropolitan local officials representing units of general purpose local government and/or local officials with responsibility for transportation…" Documentation can be found at the NHDOT Bureau of Planning and Community Assistance Web site at: www.nh.gov/dot/org/projectdevelopment/planning/. The Department is opening a 60-day public comment period today (December 23, 2010), which will remain open through February 23, 2011.
