Temporary Traffic Signals On Route 1 Bypass In Portsmouth At The Intersection With Albacore Road The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces at temporary traffic signals will become operational on Thursday, December 23, 2010 in Portsmouth at the intersection of the U.S. Route 1 Bypass and Albacore Road, immediately south of the Sara Mildred Long Bridge over the Piscataqua River. These temporary signals, which will allow for a left turn from Albacore Road to northbound on the Route 1 Bypass, are at the request of the City of Portsmouth. They will remain in effect indefinitely through the replacement of the Memorial Bridge (US Route 1).
