|Nashua Welcome Center At Exit 6 To Close On November 1
To Be Replaced By DMV Substation And E-Zpass Walk-In Center
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the closing of the Nashua Welcome Center off of Exit 6 of the Everett Turnpike on November 1, 2010. Bus service offered by Boston Express will also be discontinued at this location on November 1.
The facility will be renovated to accommodate a NH Department of Safety Division of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Substation and an E-ZPass Walk-In Center.
Bus service will continue to be provided from a new bus terminal being constructed at the Exit 8 Park and Ride facility at Southwood Drive in Nashua, and from a Park and Ride lot located near Exit 35 off Route 3 in Tyngsboro, Massachusetts..
The existing temporary E-ZPass Walk-In Center at Exit 6 will remain open for normal working hours (Monday-Friday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM) during the construction phase.
The newly renovated DMV Substation/E-ZPass Walk-In Center is expected to open in the spring of 2011.
