| I-95 Project In Portsmouth Nears Completion
Temporary Signals Removed At USS Albacore The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces that construction work on a one-mile section of Interstate I-95 in Portsmouth between the Portsmouth Traffic Circle and the high level bridge is nearly complete. This project involved pavement resurfacing, rehabilitation of the I-95 bridge decks over Woodbury Avenue, Maplewood Avenue, and Market Street, guardrail replacement and drainage improvements. One change motorists should be aware of is the removal of temporary signals at the intersection of the USS Albacore. Motorists are no longer able to turn left from the USS Albacore connector north onto the Route 1 Bypass. Pike Industries of Belmont, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $4.78 million contract, which is expected to be completed within two weeks. |
