Alternating Traffic Along 4.8 Miles Of NH 9/US 202

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces paving operations are underway on a section of US 202/NH 9 in Hillsborough that includes the Hillsborough Bypass.

This work involves resurfacing NH 9/US 202, starting just west of NH Route 31 and proceeding east approximately 4.8 miles. It includes the ramps and US 202 between NH 149 and NH 9, and the ramps to US 202 and Henniker Road.

Traffic will be controlled with alternating single lane traffic on Routes 202/9 and lane shifts on the ramps. Some delays should be anticipated.

Weather permitting, the paving work scheduled to be completed this construction season will be done by Friday, September 3. The balance of the paving work will be completed in the spring of 2011.

Continental Paving, Inc. of Londonderry, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $1.6 million project, which has a final completion date of June 24, 2011.
