|Bridge Steel Work To Require US 3 Road Closures In Bedford
Part of the Manchester Airport Access Road Project
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned setting of structural steel beams for the new Manchester Airport Access Road bridge over US Route 3 (River Road) in Bedford, which will require periodic temporary closures of Route 3 during daytime hours for up to five days.
This bridge steel work is scheduled to take place from Monday, August 30, through Friday, September 3, 2010. The 15-minute closures to traffic on US Route 3 in the vicinity of East Point Drive and Somerville Drive will occur up to four times a day between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
Variable message boards will alert motorists of the pending road closures. Uniformed officers will be used for traffic control. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes during these time periods if possible.
