|NH 121 Closure Planned In Hampstead For Culvert Replacement
One Mile From Emerson Road To NH Route 111 For Two Weeks
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a two-week closure is planned for a one-mile section of NH Route 121 in Hampstead to allow for the replacement of a box culvert at Hog Hill Brook.
Beginning on Monday, August 9, NH Route 121 will be closed to traffic, except for local residents, from Emerson Road to NH Route 111. All through traffic will be detoured via Emerson Road and East Road.
Changeable message signs are being used to inform the traveling public, and detour signs will assist motorists.
Following the two-week closure this section of NH Route 121, an alternating one-way traffic pattern will be used to keep traffic moving through the work zone between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Motorists and motorcyclists should be prepared for lane closures and possible rough surfaces during day and nighttime hours.
J. Parker and Daughters Construction, Inc. of Pittsfield, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $250,000 project, which has a completion date of September 10, 2010.
