| Opening of a Signalized One-Lane Detour on
NH Route 107 Over Griffin Brook in Epsom
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the scheduled opening of a detour to allow for the replacement of the NH Route 107 bridge over Griffin Brook in Epsom at the Epsom/Deerfield town line. The existing Route 107 bridge was damaged in the floods of 2007. The detour around the bridge work area is planned to be opened on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, weather permitting. It will be restricted to 11-feet wide and will be a signalized, alternating one-lane traffic pattern. Any vehicles wider than the 11-foot limit should use NH Route 43 as an alternative to traveling between US Route 4 and NH Route 107. Northeast Earth Mechanics, Inc. of Pittsfield, New Hampshire is the general contractor for the $722,000 bridge replacement project, which has a final completion date of September 2010. |
