Proposed Roundabout At US 3/NH 11B Intersection
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a combined Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting has been scheduled to review and discuss the proposed construction of a roundabout to improve safety at the intersection of US Route 3 and NH Route 11B in Laconia.
This public meeting will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Weirs Community Center, 70 Endicott Street East, in Laconia, New Hampshire.
The proposed reconstruction of the intersection will extend approximately 200 feet west on US 3, 300 feet east on NH 11B, and 300 feet south on US 3.
The purpose of this meeting is to present citizens and public officials with information regarding the proposed project, and to solicit public opinion in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. The environmental impacts of this project are to be determined. Accordingly, the NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination.
