| Second Closure Planned For Loudon Road In Concord At Exit 14
To Allow For Steel Work And Rehabilitation Of I-93 Bridges The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the planned closure of Loudon Road in Concord at Exit 14 of Interstate 93 for a weekend in May to allow for steel work associated with the rehabilitation of the I-93 bridges over Loudon Road. Loudon Road will be closed for a 60-hour period to all through traffic between the northbound on-ramp to I-93 and the southbound on/off ramps to I-93 (the area directly under the I-93 overpass) from Friday, May 7, 2010 at 7:00 PM to Monday, May 10 at 7:00 AM. No traffic will be allowed under the bridges during the above closure period. All on and off ramps at Exit 14 will remain open during the Loudon Road closure. Detour signs will be in place directing traffic to alternate routes. These dates are weather dependent.Alternate dates in the event of inclement weather are May 21-24. E.D. Sweet, of Concord, New Hampshire is the prime contractor for the $4.5 million project, which has a final completion date of October 15, 2010. |
