| Detour Planned On US 4 In Andover To Allow For Bridge Removal
Half-Mile Detour To Be In Place For Approximately Four Months The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a planned detour will begin Monday, March 22, on US Route 4 in Andover to allow for the removal of the existing NH Route 11 bridge that previously spanned Route 4 and the existing rail trail. The signed half-mile detour route will be in place for approximately four months and will include the use of Potters Road, Cilleyville Road, Depot Street and the ramp to Routes 11 and 4. This project involves the removal of a Red List Bridge and a reconfiguration of the road to an at-grade intersection, and the construction of a bridge to span the rail trail. Weaver Brothers Construction Company, Inc. of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $2.4 million project, which has a final completion date of September 24, 2010. |
