| Walpole-Charlestown Public Informational Meeting
Planned Improvements To 3 Miles Of NH Route 12 The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces a rescheduled Public Officials/Public Informational Meeting to be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 to discuss the planned reconstruction and associated improvements to a 3-mile section of NH Route 12 in Walpole and Charlestown. An earlier meeting scheduled for December 9, 2009 was postponed due to weather conditions. This NH Route 12 reconstruction project will extend from Main Street in North Walpole to NH Route 12A in South Charlestown. The purpose of the public meeting is to discuss the project and gather input from local officials and public citizens in order to ensure that project decisions meet public transportation needs, meet community goals, and protect and enhance the environment. Accordingly, the NHDOT assures that this project will be administered according to the requirements of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and all related statutes to ensure nondiscrimination. The January 13, 2010 public meeting will take place at 6:00 PM at the North Walpole School, 17 Cray Road in North Walpole, New Hampshire.
