One Week Project Will Require Single Lane Traffic On Route 38 The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces repair work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, December 29 on the Interstate 93 southbound bridge over NH Route 38 in Salem. This bridge girder repair work is expected to take one week to complete. In order to perform the work, one lane of alternating traffic controlled by flaggers will be required in the work zone on Route 38. Motorists are advised to drive carefully when proceed through the work zone and to seek alternate routes if possible. These repairs are necessary as a result of an incident on Friday, December 18, 2009 when an eastbound truck on Route 38 struck the bridge. A crew from the NHDOT’s Bridge Maintenance Bureau will be doing the repair work. |
