The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the newly widened section of NH Route 125 at Exit 12 in Rochester is scheduled to be open to traffic on Thursday, November 5. Pavement marking work is scheduled for November 5 at this location. Motorists should expect some delays.
Curbing and clean-up work will continue on NH 125 until winter shutdown. Bridge work on the Spaulding Turnpike over NH 125 will continue through the winter months. The northbound Spaulding Turnpike Exit 12 off ramp remains closed until the bridges are complete in October 2010. Traffic will continue to use the Exit 11 off ramp until that time.
This project involves the reconstruction and widening of the northbound barrel of the Spaulding Turnpike through the Exit 12 interchange, as well as the reconstruction of the northbound on and off ramps. Bridge work includes new bridges northbound over NH 125 and the northbound off-ramp over the Cocheco River.
