New Island Pond Bridges Open Over I-93 In Manchester Detour Has Been In Place Since March 9, 2009 The New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) announces the opening today (October 30) of the new Island Pond Road bridges over Interstate 93 in Manchester. Island Pond Road has been closed at the bridges since March 9 for the demolition of the old bridges and construction of the new bridges. This project has also included the construction of a sound abatement wall adjacent to Pike Brook Place and Cranwell Drive. R.S. Audley of Bow, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $5.9 million project, which has a final completion date of May 2010.
