October 9 Deadline For Response To The Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement
The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces the comment period for responding to the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (DSEIS) for the Interstate 93 Improvement Project (Salem to Manchester) is being extended from October 2 to October 9, 2009. The DSEIS is a supplement to the April 2004 I-93 Salem to Manchester Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS).
The DSEIS was prepared to meet the requirements of a August 30, 2007 U.S. District Court of New Hampshire decision in the case Conservation Law Foundation v. Federal Highway Administration and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
A Public Hearing on the DSEIS was held September 22, 2009 in Derry. Both the FEIS and the DSEIS are available for download on the I-93 Project Web site at www.rebuildingi93.com.
Written statements and other exhibits may be submitted to the New Hampshire Department of Transportation and addressed to Peter Stamnas, Project Manager, NHDOT Bureau of Highway Design, 7 Hazen Drive, Concord, NH 03302 (e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org), or to the Federal Highway Administration and addressed to Jamison Sikora, Environmental Program Manager, FHWA, 19 Chenell Drive, Suite One, Concord, NH 03301 (e-mail: Jamie.email@example.com) .
