| Day And Night Paving Work For I-93, Exit 1 In Salem
Project Will Include Some Nighttime Ramp Closures The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces day and night paving work will begin on Monday, September 28, on the I-93, Exit 1 ramps in Salem. Paving operations will be performed on all of the ramps for the Exit 1 Interchange. Paving work for the northbound off ramp and southbound on ramp will take place Monday and Tuesday between 6:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Motorists using this roadway can expect lane closures with minor traffic delays. Paving work for the southbound off ramp and northbound on ramp will take place Wednesday (September 30) and Thursday (October 1) nights. Due to the narrow widths of these ramps they will be closed between 9:30 PM and 6:00 AM. Drivers are requested to find alternate routes for these two nights. Uniformed officers and traffic control devices will be used to assist motorists through the work zones. Weather dependent, it’s anticipated that this work will be completed by the morning of Friday, October 2. This work is part of the $22.3 million, Exit 1 Reconstruction project. The general contractor is SPS, New England, Inc. of Salisbury, Massachusetts. |
